There are 3 waiting rooms and viewing
windows to watch students in class or to simply sit and
read while classes are conducted. The staff is
professional and passionate about dance education.
Please view our faculty page for detailed information on
our teacher’s qualifications.
The dance studio places equal emphasis on all
dance disciplines which has produced well rounded dancers
year after year. Our youngest dancers (age 3) are exposed
to the world of creative movement and ballet beginnings.
Ages 4-7 are placed in classes that study ballet, tap,
creative movement and jazz beginnings. For the older
students, we offer modern, ballet, jazz, technique, pointe,
tap and hip hop.
The Movement Project is our resident teen
performance company. It was founded by Chrissy Reynolds in
2004. It serves to expose students to the world of dance as
an art form. Through performances, choreography, student
composition, fundraising and community involvement, students
receive a solid dance education. Students must participate
in a two week summer intensive where technique is
strengthened and choreography is learned. Students that are
technically capable and make dance their first
extra-curricular activity are encouraged to audition.
Auditions take place in the spring for the following season.
We have a popular summer enrichment program
that runs for 4 weeks. These weeks are geared for students
ages 4-11 and are a perfect introduction to the studio for
the new student. We also hold technique classes in the
summer for teens and adults. Please refer to our summer page
for more information.
The studio prides itself on its’ community
approach and nurturing atmosphere. We are a non-competitive
studio, viewing dance as an art form rather than a
competitive sport. Students gain confidence, maturity, self
respect and a larger appreciation of the performing arts.
