Ashland High School Auditorium
Eighteen performance company
members will take the stage Saturday, March 13th at
7:00pm. The concert will feature choreography by Annemarie Fairhurst,
Amanda Koelker Belanger, Jennifer Carlson Delinks, Christine
Reynolds, Jill A. Jackson and Ingrid Schatz. Two guest companies
will share the stage alongside the Movement Project this year.
Ipswich-based Moving Company Teen Program and Inside Out Dance
Company from Orange, Massachusetts. All choreographers have been
given the challenge to work with the central theme of home and how
that relates to their creative work. The performance runs a little
over an hour with an intermission. This is a wonderful performance
for dance students young and old as well as dance supporters. The
students have been working on the choreography since their summer
intensive in August. They are eager to share their hard work and
passion with an enthusiastic audience. The ticket cost is $10.00 if
bought pre-show and $12.00 if bought at the door. There are special
discounts for young students (ages 4-7) who attend class at the
studio. Be on the lookout for class handouts with more information
or feel free to call the studio at 508 881 5109. We look forward to
seeing you in the audience.
Company Auditions Announced
2010-2011 Season
March 21, 2010
2:00 – 4:00pm
Interested in becoming a Movement Project performance company member?
Students who are technically capable, passionate and eager for
additional dance opportunities should fill out an intent to audition
form available on the performance company bulletin board in the
studio. Students must successfully audition in to the company and
will be notified within a week of the audition whether they were
accepted. Students must be enrolled in a weekly ballet class in
order to be considered for company inclusion. We also strongly
recommend a weekly modern and jazz class as well. Company is a time
commitment for both students and parents. The students who are the
most successful members of company make dance their first priority.
Over 95% of current company members take 3 – 6 dance classes per
week in addition to their weekly company rehearsals. Please refer to
the company board at the studio for more information or speak with
Chrissy Reynolds, company director for more information.

Company Raises over
$1,000 for Breast Cancer
Ten of our company members participated
in the Holliston Walk for Breast Cancer on October 19th. It
was a beautiful day and the students and teachers managed to
raise over a $1,000 in the fight against breast cancer.
Thank you to the girls who were able to attend and raise
money for this important cause. We look forward to returning
next year.
