4-5-6-7 years of age
Age 4 Combination Class
- The 4 year old classes are 45 minutes long and meet
once a week. Students build their basic ballet
vocabulary and knowledge. Body alignment and centre
floor work are introduced. Students develop rhythm and
strengthen musicality in the tap portion of class.
Improvisation and storytelling are used to foster an
appreciation for creative movement. This class performs
a tap piece in the recital.
Schedule of Open Classes:
Age 5 Combination Class - The
5 year old classes are 60 minutes long and meet once a
week. Students are taught the importance of the barre and
tap warm-ups. Across the floor exercises become an integral
part of class. Students strengthen their knowledge of basic
terminology. Improvisational games are taught. This class
performs a tap or ballet piece in the recital to be
determined by the instructor.

Age 6 Combination Class - The 6
year old classes are 60 minutes long and meet once a week.
Students focus on improving and strengthening the basic
techniques of ballet and tap. Known vocabulary is turned
into mini-combinations to challenge student’s muscle memory
and intellectual knowledge. Coordination is enhanced
through the use of props and creative movement starts to
introduce elements of choreography. This class performs a
tap or ballet piece in the recital to be determined by the
instructor.

Get Funky! The 7 year old
classes are 60 minutes long and meet once a week. Class
continues to build on the importance of ballet and tap
technique and foster an appreciation for creative movement.
Students learn the fundamentals of jazz technique while
dancing to their favorite music. At the end of this class,
students will have a basic understanding of the differences
between ballet, jazz, tap and modern. Students will be
ready to make informed decisions on what they want to study
at level 1. This class performs both a ballet and tap piece
in the recital.
